Story

Inspired by a true story and directed by Magnus von Horn, THE GIRL WITH THE NEEDLE tells the story of a young factory worker, Karolina (Vic Carmen Sonne), struggling to survive in Copenhagen after World War I. When she finds herself unemployed, abandoned and pregnant, she meets Dagmar (Trine Dyrholm), a charismatic woman who runs an underground adoption agency that helps mothers find foster homes for unwanted children.
